Death, Death, and more Death

Alack! Alack! Romeo and Juliet are dead! Oh cursed day! Romeo received false information in Mantua that Juliet was dead. He rode off to Verona to see her for the last time and to kill himself. However Paris got between him and his beloved's grave. After a gruesome fight Paris was killed and Romeo continued on to Juliet. Romeo took a strong potion and took in his last breath, and died. When Juliet awoke she killed herself with Romeo's dagger to join him in the afterlife. Oh this wretched, wretched day! Romeo taking an illegal potion and Juliet killing herself with his very dagger! However, the feud between the Capulets and the Montagues has ended with their death. But oh, such unnessecary lives were taken this day! Well, farewell dear readers. May this story of young Romeo and Juliet have taught you something.

Juliet's "death"

So, so much to say yet again! Lord Capulet decided that Juliet should marry Count Paris! However, Juliet is already married to and deeply in love with young Romeo. Juliet came to see me in sheer panic and terror. She threatened to kill herself if I could not find a cure to save their young love. But alas, I had an idea. I brewed up a complex potion for Juliet. When she takes it she will be in a deep sleep and appear dead to all who view her. I will perform her funeral ceremony and she will be placed in the monument with all of her kinsmen. Then, in forty-two hours she will awaken to find Romeo and I waiting for her. Finally, she and Romeo will ride off to Mantua together to live out their lives with eachother. Young lovers, may luck be with you.

Banishment

So much excitement this week! Romeo and Juliet married and now Romeo is banished! Today in a fight Tybalt killed Mercutio. Of course Romeo, being extremely angry, ran after Tybalt and killed him out of fury. Now Romeo is banished from Verona and forbidden to return! Romeo is sulky and depressed once more because he will never see his beloved Juliet again. However, Romeo refuses to realize how lucky he is. His enemy Tybalt is dead and Juliet is still alive! How lucky he is and how narrow minded he is to not realize it. Ah, perhaps the city of Mantua will clear his mind of Juliet and he will continue his life without her.

Romeo's Love Life

Goodness gracious! So much to say such little time. The other day young Romeo came to visit me and he was as jumpy with joy as a young jackrabbit in the spring. He said he had forgotten about Rosaline and the love he had felt for her, and oh was I pleased. He is far to young to be worried about such problems. But alas, my joy was lost as soon as it was found. Romeo was in love again, and with a Capulet of all people! This isn't the worst of it, he wanted ME to marry them! Me?! Marry two young lovers from feuding families?! So, obviously, I was in an extreme state of shock and I refused to do so. I would be killed in a most greusome way if I was to marry them and their families would simply call off the marriage and my work would be for not. Suddenly, a thought came to mind. Feuds similar in nature to the Capulets and Montagues have been ended and quickly forogtten with a few simple vows. If these young lovers were married... I could end this catastrophe. I would be known as the great hero that put a stop to the ever fighting Capulets and Montagues. So, putting their family differences aside for love, I agreed to join them in marriage. Tommorrow they will be wed and the fighting will finally cease.

The Capulet Party

I heard there was some sort of party at the Capulet's last evening. I didn't hear of any Montagues showing up to spoil the fun, so that's a relief. Perhaps the feud has begun to cool down. Alas, I have trouble believing my own words at this statement. I'm sure the arguing will rise up again before the end of this week.

Another fight...

I am dissapointed to report that there was yet another fight in the streets yesterday. Oh those Capulets and Montagues, it seems as though they have been quarreling since the Earth's great beginning. This time only a few servants began the skirmish from what I heard. These fights are happening more and more often. I am beginning to feel fear for poor Verona, Italy that something terrible may happen soon.
